What to Look for When Choosing a Baby Stroller

A stroller is one of the most used items in a child’s first years – every day, in all weathers. Here is what to pay attention to.
1. A carrycot for newborns
Until the baby can sit up unaided, they need to lie flat. A carrycot makes this possible from day one.
2. A sport seat for later
When the child starts sitting (around 6 months), you switch to the seat. Check whether it can face forward and towards the parent, and whether the backrest reclines to a semi-lying position for naps.
3. Wheels and suspension
For our pavements, parks and cobblestones, choose larger wheels and suspension – the baby will be shaken less and pushing will be easier. Swivel front wheels that can be locked help both in the shop and on gravel.
4. Folding and dimensions
Measure the boot of your car and the lift door. It is important that the frame folds easily – you will often do it with a baby in your arms.
5. Handle and brake
An adjustable handle suits both tall and short parents. The brake should be easy to apply with your foot and hold securely.
6. Canopy, rain cover and basket
A large canopy protects from sun and wind, and a roomy basket underneath fits the changing bag and the shopping.
7. Option for a car seat
If you often travel by car, choose a stroller that can take an infant car seat. For Buba Zaza 2 and Buba Kanatitza strollers there are adapters for the Tutis Elo Lux i-Size car seat.
8. Safety
A five-point harness, a stable frame and respecting the age and weight stated for each module. The stroller is not intended for running or skating.
